The Acholi Community in Uganda

For many years, we have been involved with a small scale aid project that supports the Acholi community in Uganda. The Acholi people were forced from their homelands in Northern Uganda and many now live in very difficult conditions in the capital city Kampala.

With limited job opportunities these proud, smart and skillful people have turned to making and selling unique jewellery out of paper and glue! We have previously sold a selection of these inexpensive items during Scramblers on the Hill sessions and in church. They make great stocking fillers, priced just £1 to £4. 100% of the money raised goes back to the Acholi community to provide whatever is required, which maybe food, clothing, health or educational materials.
