Proclaiming Our Faith

St Michael and All Angels is a family friendly church with the teachings of Jesus Christ at its centre. The church proclaims its faith through worship, weddings, funerals and baptisms; as well as supporting the oppressed and under privileged both within our local community and further afield.

Promoting Community

St Michael’s is at the heart of Windmill Hill. Its buildings are used by the wider community for a wide range of activities, including Scramblers on the Hill, local choirs and Bristol Community Big Band. The church also supports the local Brownies group.

Preserving the Environment

St Michael’s was one of the first churches in the UK to use solar panels for both heat and electricity generation.. We take our green credentials very seriously and promote environmental initiatives throughout the community.

Propagating the Arts

From actively supporting Art On The Hill to assembling community choirs, St Michael’s plays a big part in bringing the arts to the people of Windmill Hill. We work with in partnership with local artists and primary schools to promote art to children. The church buildings are used for arts festivals, stage plays, musical recitals, and community choirs.
