Albert Nash
The A Nash on the church memorial is believed to be this man.
Albert is listed on army records as being born in Bedminster in 1891 and then living in Chew Magna. He served in the Somerset Light Infantry as private No.9648 and went to France on the 21st August 1914. Albert was injured and died of his wounds on the 9th November 1914: he was awarded the 1914 Star with clasp also known as the Mons Star plus the British War and Victory medals.
